04.17.06 | SageNet Opens Dallas Office
Tulsa-based IT solutions provider SageNet has announced the opening of a new regional sales office in Dallas. The move allows SageNet to better serve a rapidly expanding market for its sophisticated point-of-sale (POS) systems and solutions for multi-location retail establishments.
John Lucas, a long-time associate of SageNet President Daryl Woodard, heads the Dallas office. He has more than 20 years of accomplishments in launching sales regions for high-tech companies, including five previous startups in the Dallas market. He has been involved in providing telecom, networking and e-commerce solutions for customers such as Sprint, Bell South, Qwest, SBC, American Airlines, Anheuser-Busch, Cessna, Home Depot, IBM, JCPenney, RJ Reynolds and Union Pacific RR.
“Dallas is a key growth area for SageNet, and John knows the market very well,” said Woodard. “With John leading the way, we look forward to establishing a local presence and offering the technology that can help Texas retailers realize the benefits of advanced POS solutions.”
SageNet’s POS systems allow retailers to do much more than process cash and credit card payments. Leveraging its deep background in networking technology, SageNet designs and implements systems that can include fully integrated accounting, inventory management, sales forecasting, customer relation management, service management, payroll modules and more.
“There is a technology refresh occurring in the market right now due to the adoption of broadband IP networks, digital video recorders, kiosks, call centers and more,” said Lucas. “Unlike other companies that merely provide the hardware or software for these systems, SageNet also has the networking expertise to actually design the system, install it and support it. Other companies may offer some of the various pieces, but we are the only one who provides it all.”
