Taco Bueno
In an effort to speed transaction time for its customers,
Taco Bueno began a pilot program in 2003 to accept credit card payments.
To implement this system, the Texas-based restaurant chain turned
to SageNet. We deployed a WAN (wide area network) that connected
Taco Bueno’s restaurants to the corporate headquarters through a
high-speed, private IP network. Then we replaced Taco Bueno’s
dial-up terminals with IP-enabled terminals. Transaction time went
from up to 12 seconds to only three. The improvement in speed and cost
was immediately apparent.
